We are now looking for a talented and creative
Brand and Communications Manager
to help amplify our message, engage internal and external audiences, and ensure all communications reflect the values and vision of our organisation.

About the Role
This is a strategic and hands-on role, ideal for someone with a strong background in brand development, content creation, and internal and external communications. The Brand and Communications Manager will take ownership of our brand voice and visual identity, lead marketing campaigns, produce high-quality content, and oversee all communication channels--ensuring clarity, consistency, and impact.

Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy and Leadership
Develop and implement the organisation's brand and communications strategy.
Ensure consistency in tone, message, and visual identity across all internal and external materials.
Act as brand guardian, supporting colleagues with brand guidance and creative resources.
Marketing and Campaign Delivery
Lead the planning and delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns.
Coordinate timelines, content, and design assets for campaign execution.
Track and report on performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Content Creation and Communication
Produce compelling written and visual content for use across websites, newsletters, social media, reports, presentations, and printed materials.
Manage and update the company website using WordPress, ensuring content is accurate, accessible, and engaging.
Develop and manage a content calendar aligned with key organisational initiatives and events.
Internal and External Communication
Deliver clear, consistent, and engaging internal communications to inform and inspire staff.
Support leadership and operational teams with internal messaging, announcements, and culture-building initiatives.
Draft and distribute external communications, including press releases, public statements, and stakeholder updates.
Design and Marketing Product Development
Design or oversee the production of marketing products including brochures, flyers, social graphics, branded templates, and merchandise.
Use tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-quality visuals in-house.
Liaise with external designers or printers when needed to deliver campaigns.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with teams across care, operations, and leadership to gather stories and shape content.
Ensure all communications are inclusive, accessible, and aligned with the SLS mission.
Support cross-departmental projects requiring branded content or communication expertise.

Person Specification
Essential
Proven experience in brand management, communications, and content creation.
Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
Experience using WordPress to manage website content.
Proficiency in design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
Excellent organisational and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Desirable
Experience in health, social care, or not-for-profit sectors.
Understanding of accessible and inclusive communication.
A degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field.
