About the role

Are you a great content strategist? Can you write a tight creative brief? Can you spot a story opportunity AND turn it into compelling content?

We're looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Brand Content Manager to join our buzzing Digital Engagement team (managing the Library's web content, social and email channels).

In this role you'll use your extensive experience of collaborating with senior stakeholders to capture the fascinating stories playing out every day behind the scenes and in our free and welcoming public spaces as we deliver our mission.

You'll be adept at interpretation of user data to inform new content briefs, as well as to report on the performance of published content. You'll make content yourself and brief and manage freelancers or production companies to create content to a brief that aligns with a new brand content strategy that you will lead development of.

You will be an excellent communicator adept at juggling multiple projects, keeping them on track to meet deadlines, working independently or as part of a team and managing cross-organisational stakeholder groups.

You will also identify new content and channel opportunities to experiment with different ways we can engage different audiences.

As the UK's national library we believe the more we know the more we make possible. We have big ambitions to reach more people than ever with the content this role will create, bringing the brand to life online and onsite and help fulfill our mission to unlock ideas and imagination.
