We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Bread/Pastry Baker. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient preparation and production of high-quality bread items in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in baking and food safety practices.
Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a variety of bread and pastries following a set of in-house recipes ensuring consistency and quality.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and efficient workflow.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
Participate in regular kitchen maintenance and cleaning tasks to uphold hygiene standards.
Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings.
Requirements
Proven experience in bread and pastry baking within a professional kitchen setting.
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques and baking methods.
Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is essential.
Must have Food Hygiene Certificate.
Previous bakery experience is highly desirable.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings and weekends as needed.
