Breakdown Recovery Driver
Job Description
We are a small family run recovery company on the border of Cardiff and Newport. We are looking for someone to help support us with breakdowns, repairs, recovery and vehicle transportation.
Recovery Experience required
Mechanically trained /knowledge of vehicles preferred
Minimum Class 2 licence required
Occasional long distance work. (still within working hours)
The job will be on a shift pattern including days, evenings and weekends.
You will be required to work Bank holidays and public holidays.
Tacho card (preferred) and drivers CPC card (Essential)
Applicants need to be polite and professional.
Take pride in their work.
Look after any equipment or trucks that they are in charge of.
This job can be fast paced and intense at times. You will be required to work to strict timings but still be able to give an excellent customer service.
Training will need to be completed. The cost will be covered by ourselves.
CRB and licence check required.
We currently provide support for many of the major breakdown providers.

Permanent position after 2 month probation period
Responsibilities
Operate and drive recovery vehicles to transport disabled or damaged vehicles safely. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Communicate effectively with clients and dispatch to provide updates and resolve issues. Utilize mechanical knowledge to assess vehicle conditions and perform minor repairs when necessary. Maintain accurate records of services rendered and ensure proper documentation for each recovery operation.

Pay: From 12.75 per hour
