Overview

We are looking for Vehicle Breakdown and Recovery Technicians for a service van and recovery truck roles at our depot at Blyth, Worksop.

We have a position available for a roadside technician in a service van. The ideal candidate will possess a strong vehicle mechanical knowledge and be proficient in the use of hand tools and diagnostics. Experience with commercial vehicles would be a great advantage. You will have your own van to carry out roadside breakdowns and repairs plus the use of a RDT recovery system in your van when needed. Only a car licence required for this role.

We also have a position for a 12 ton recovery truck driver / technician. Previous experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be given. A good basic knowledge of vehicles is required as you will be attending broken down and accident damaged vehicles throughout the area, carrying out minor repairs where possible or recovering the vehicles to a repairer. Minimum Class 2 (Category C) Licence required for this role, but Class 1 (C+E) preferred.

Successful applicants must be able to pass a full CRB check. Previous experience is a distinct advantage.

We provide a breakdown and recovery service, attending stranded motorists. Therefore we require employees who are enthusiastic , hard working , trustworthy and self motivated who are capable of taking control and giving exceptional service to our customers, whilst having good communication skills in stressful and all weathers situations.

Due to the nature of our business there are some compulsory nights and weekends on call.

No 2 days are the same in this job and there is the ability to progress withing the company.

Expected earnings are 40 - 45 k per year
