Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant/Breakfast assistant to join our team in a Care Home. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining the overall cleanliness and comfort of our residents experience. Alongside this role, you will be supporting the Cook with preparing and serving breakfast, including supporting residents and using our electronic care planning system for documentation.

Duties

Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment efficiently and safely. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and garments according to established procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is kept in good working order. Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management. Adhere to health and safety regulations while handling chemicals and operating machinery. Assist with the delivery of clean laundry to designated areas within the care home as required Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks. Preparation, serving, assisting residents and documenting breakfast Working alongside the Cook to maintain a clean and safe environment within the kitchen Adhere to Food Hygiene Standards at all times Good communication skills with staff and residents

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or similar environment is preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Capability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy items when necessary. A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service.
