Duties

Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production within the kitchen. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs to maximise profitability. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Train new kitchen employees on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen procedures. Maintain a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and creativity.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of food production techniques, food safety standards, and culinary trends. Excellent supervisory skills with experience in team management. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences. Culinary degree or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
