We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic coffee shop team. Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to organisational standards
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards
Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene practices and proper storage procedures
Plan menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of dishes and excellent customer service
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
Train new staff members in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations
Assist in developing new recipes and innovative culinary concepts to enhance the menu offerings
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting
Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of staff
Excellent understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience demonstrating versatility across various roles such as serving and food presentation
Leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and management
Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
