We are seeking a talented and experienced Breakfast Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for food presentation and safety. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring high standards of quality and hygiene are maintained at all times. The successful applicant will play a key role in creating innovative menus and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Duties
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety compliance
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in line with food safety regulations
Develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences
Monitor food safety practices to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Assist in serving customers when required, providing excellent hospitality
Qualifications
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Leadership qualities with a focus on team management and development
Experience in menu development and food presentation
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable but not essential; passion for culinary arts is crucial
