Your role will involve managing kitchen staff, maintaining a well-organised kitchen environment, and contributing to menu development.

Responsibilities

Supervise kitchen staff and manage daily operations to ensure smooth food production. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high-quality standards. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative menu items that reflect current trends and customer preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Maintain effective communication with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Participate in special events or catering services as required.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. A passion for hospitality and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Previous experience in menu planning or development is advantageous.
