Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely service Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations Manage food production processes to optimise efficiency and minimise waste Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery Assist in menu planning and development to incorporate seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to ensure availability of ingredients Uphold organisational policies regarding safety procedures and quality assurance

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a busy hospitality environment Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure Leadership qualities with a focus on team management and development Experience in food production, restaurant operations, or catering services is highly desirable Skilled in culinary techniques across diverse cuisines Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and suppliers Knowledge of hospitality industry standards related to serving and customer satisfaction
