Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a cohesive team environment
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste through effective stock management
Ensure all food production meets quality standards and is delivered in a timely manner for service
Assist in serving customers when required, ensuring excellent hospitality at all times
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Creative flair for developing innovative menu options that appeal to diverse clientele
Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
