Job Summary:

As a

Breakfast Chef

at Gracie's Cafe, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality breakfast and brunch dishes with precision and creativity. You'll work as part of a dynamic kitchen team, ensuring smooth service during peak hours while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook breakfast and brunch dishes to order, including eggs, pancakes, avocado toast, pastries, and specialty items. Ensure all food is presented beautifully and consistently meets Gracie's high standards. Work efficiently during busy morning/brunch service while maintaining a clean and organized station. Assist with prep work, including chopping, baking, and mise en place for the next service. Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times. Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to develop seasonal specials and menu improvements. Support kitchen operations by assisting with stock rotation and inventory checks.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a

Breakfast Chef, Line Cook, or similar role

in a cafe, brunch spot, or restaurant. Strong knowledge of breakfast/brunch cooking techniques (e.g., poaching eggs, pancake/flatbread preparation, artisanal toast toppings). Ability to work quickly and calmly under pressure during peak hours. Basic understanding of food safety standards (Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred). Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays (typical shifts 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM).
