Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate

Breakfast Chef

to join our kitchen team at the Heath Court Hotel. This role is key in delivering high-quality food and excellent service in line with our hotel's standards and values.

Shift start times are

06:30 on weekdays

and

07:00 on weekends

, with the potential for additional hours to cover lunch shifts when required.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook breakfast service to consistently high standards, ensuring quality, presentation, and portion control. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to all food hygiene and health & safety regulations. Ensure breakfast items are replenished promptly and presented attractively throughout service. Assist with stock rotation, ordering, and the proper storage of ingredients. Support with occasional lunch or event preparation as required. Work collaboratively with front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service. Report any maintenance or equipment issues promptly to management. Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal updates.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie, or similar role in a hotel or restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food safety, allergen awareness, and kitchen hygiene standards. NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Professional Cookery preferred but not essential. Ability to work efficiently and independently during early shifts. Excellent time management and organisational skills. A positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to maintaining high standards. Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.40 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
