We are now recruiting a

Breakfast Chef

to join our team at

DoubleTree by Hilton York.

As a

Breakfast Chef

you are responsible for assisting with the smooth and efficient operation of the

Kitchen Department

. You will be totally customer focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach. Responsible for the preparation, cooking and presentation of food within the overall policies and controls established by the company and Head Chef, ensuring that quality standards are delivered.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to work weekends.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

To have a thorough knowledge of and prepare all dishes on hotel breakfast menus ensuring smooth and efficient service throughout.

To have a genuine passion for cooking a high standard of food.

To ensure all foods are stored correctly and stocks rotated in line with Food Hygiene requirements.

To keep food wastage to a minimum through stock rotation and ensuring portion controls are adhered to.

To assist with the preparation and service of dishes for other chefs in the hotel.

To ensure the efficient operation of the kitchen during service, ensuring food is prepared, cooked and served to the standards required.

To record temperature checks on food and in storage areas as directed to ensure statutory requirements are met and report any variances are reported immediately.

To maintain high standards of working practices in terms of personal appearance and working methods.
