Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and teamwork. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Ensure all food is presented attractively and served at the correct temperature. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Uphold high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all cooking processes.

Requirements

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques. Supervising experience is advantageous for managing team dynamics effectively. Excellent leadership abilities, fostering a positive working atmosphere among staff. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members.
