We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role involves constructing, brick, block, and stone. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented, physically fit, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
Lay bricks, blocks, or stones according to specifications and design plans.
Measure and cut materials using hand tools and power tools.
Mix mortar and other materials as required for construction tasks.
Ensure that structures are level, plumb, and in accordance with safety standards.
Perform repairs on existing masonry structures, including repointing and patching.
Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters and roofers to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
Requirements
Proven experience in bricklaying or masonry work is essential.
Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., trowels, chisels) and power tools (e.g., saws, drills).
Ability to weld is advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
Capability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Excellent physical stamina to perform manual labour for extended periods.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
A valid driver's licence may be required for travel to various job sites.
