Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick layer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring brickwork structures with precision and attention to detail. Duties

Lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to specifications and blueprints Prepare surfaces by cleaning, chipping, or setting forms prior to masonry work Mix mortar and other materials using hand tools and power tools to ensure proper consistency Construct walls, partitions, arches, and other structures with accuracy and efficiency Repair or restore existing brickwork as needed, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic appeal Operate various hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels effectively Utilise power tools including drills, saws, and grinders safely and appropriately Assist with related tasks such as carpentry or roofing when required to support project needs Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to health and safety regulations at all times

Experience

Proven experience in bricklaying or masonry work is essential Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised masonry equipment Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and best practices in construction environments Experience in related trades such as carpentry, roofing, or welding is advantageous but not mandatory Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting heavy materials and working at heights when necessary

Pay: 12.85-31.95 per hour
