We are looking for professional bricklayer / gang to work on a construction project in Bridlington. You will be responsible for both the quality of their work as well as communicating with project managers, general contractors and other subcontractors. The successful applicant must have the ability to work well with others, possess a 'can do' attitude and a strong work ethic.

Previous experience in new build construction and CSCS card required for immediate start.

Duties include setting out brickwork and other associated tasks on new build projects.

Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring brickwork structures with precision and professionalism. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise specialised masonry skills while contributing to high-quality building projects. The Brick Mason will work closely with other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities



Lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to technical drawings and specifications Prepare surfaces and foundations prior to bricklaying, ensuring a level and stable base Use hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels to execute precise brickwork Operate power tools including mixers, saws, and drills safely and effectively Mix mortar and other materials necessary for construction work Repair or restore existing brick structures with attention to detail Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, welders, and other tradespeople on multi-disciplinary projects Maintain a clean and organised worksite to adhere to safety standards Follow health and safety regulations at all times during construction activities

Experience



Proven experience in bricklaying or masonry work is essential Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised masonry equipment Knowledge of carpentry, roofing, welding or related trades is advantageous but not mandatory Ability to read technical drawings and interpret building plans accurately Prior experience working on commercial or residential construction sites is preferred
This role requires a committed professional with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Candidates should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in dynamic environments.

Pay: 27.50 per hour
