We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for laying bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials to construct, repair, and restore structures. Candidates should have a strong understanding of hand tools, power tools, and various construction techniques, with a focus on safety and precision.
Responsibilities
Measure and mark out work areas according to specifications and plans
Mix mortar and lay bricks or blocks with accuracy and attention to detail
Use hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels effectively
Operate power tools including saws, drills, and grinders for cutting and shaping materials
Ensure structures are built to meet safety standards and building codes
Assist with related tasks such as Labouring and helping out around the site when needed.
Maintain a clean and organised worksite to promote safety and efficiency
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Experience
Proven experience in bricklaying or masonry work is essential
Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised masonry equipment
Knowledge of construction techniques including carpentry, roofing, and welding is advantageous
Prior experience working on diverse projects such as residential or commercial buildings is preferred
Strong attention to detail, organisation skills, and commitment to safety standards are vital for success in this role
