We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring brickwork structures with precision and attention to detail. Duties

Lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to technical specifications and blueprints Prepare surfaces by cleaning, chipping, or removing old mortar to ensure proper adhesion Mix mortar and other materials using appropriate tools and techniques Use hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels to achieve accurate placement Operate power tools including drills, saws, and grinders safely and effectively Assist with related tasks such as carpentry or roofing when required for project completion Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building regulations Collaborate with other tradespeople including welders and masons to complete complex structures Maintain a clean work environment by organising tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly

Skills

Proven experience in bricklaying, masonry, or similar construction roles Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to brickwork and masonry tasks Strong understanding of construction drawings and technical specifications Ability to perform basic carpentry, roofing, or welding tasks is advantageous but not essential Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail for precise workmanship Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights if necessary Safety-conscious attitude with knowledge of health and safety regulations on construction sites
