Overview

We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and be proficient in various construction techniques. As a Brick Mason, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, block, and other materials. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry materials according to specifications and blueprints. Construct walls, arches, and other structures using hand tools and power tools. Ensure the quality and durability of work by following safety standards and building codes. Mix mortar and other materials as needed for various projects. Repair existing masonry structures by replacing damaged bricks or blocks. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and roofers to ensure project completion. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Follow instructions from supervisors and project managers to meet deadlines.

Requirements

Proven experience in bricklaying and masonry work is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to masonry tasks. Knowledge of carpentry, roofing, and welding is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials when necessary. Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
