Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick layer/slabs/blocks to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring brickwork on various projects, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Duties

Lay bricks, blocks, slabs and stones according to technical drawings and specifications Prepare surfaces and foundations prior to bricklaying, ensuring stability and levelness Mix mortar and other materials to appropriate consistency for different projects Use hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels to execute precise work Operate power tools including drills, saws, and mixers safely and efficiently Assist in the installation of structural elements such as lintels, arches, and facades Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, welders, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution Maintain a clean worksite by clearing debris and organising materials effectively Follow health and safety regulations at all times during construction activities

Skills

Proficiency in bricklaying techniques with a solid understanding of masonry principles Experience using hand tools and power tools relevant to brickwork and construction tasks Knowledge of carpentry, roofing, welding, or other related trades is advantageous Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to work tasks Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights if required Excellent teamwork skills with clear communication abilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.50-16.00 per hour
