Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled bricklayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, demonstrating proficiency in the use of hand tools and power tools. This role involves constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, stone, and other materials. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.

Duties



Lay bricks, blocks, and stones to construct walls, arches, and other structures. Measure and cut materials to ensure precise fitting. Mix mortar and other bonding agents as required. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for various masonry tasks. Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently. Inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance with specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times. Perform repairs on existing structures as needed.

Qualifications



Past experience in bricklaying or masonry is essential. Proficient in the use of both hand tools and power tools relevant to masonry work. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Physical stamina to perform manual labour for extended periods. Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction sites. Previous experience working on roofs is advantageous but not mandatory.
