Overview

We are seeking a skilled bricklayer to join our team. We are not looking for any bricklayers that expect site type of work with multiple houses to block etc. The ideal candidate will need to have a strong background in masonry and possess the ability to work with various materials, including stone, brick, and concrete. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret architectural drawings. As a bricklayer, you will be responsible for setting out, constructing and repairing structures while ensuring high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Construct and repair stone structures such as walls, arches, and pavements. Lay bricks and blocks according to specifications and design plans. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing stone. Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of masonry work with other construction elements. Perform maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Follow safety protocols while working on-site to prevent accidents and injuries. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately to execute projects as per client requirements.

Experience

Proven experience in masonry work, particularly with stone, bricklaying, and related materials. Proficiency in using power tools such as saws, drills, and grinders as well as hand tools like chisels and trowels. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail to ensure high standards of craftsmanship.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 43.75 per week
