We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and construction, with the ability to work on various projects, including new builds, renovations, and restorations. This role requires proficiency in working with brick, concrete, and other materials to create durable structures while adhering to safety standards and project specifications.
Responsibilities
Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry units according to specifications and blueprints.
Construct walls, arches, and other structures using various masonry techniques.
Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks as needed for projects.
Install rebar and ensure proper reinforcement in masonry structures.
Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including carpenters and roofers.
Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate execution of designs.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.
Conduct restoration work on existing structures as required by project specifications.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols at all times.
Experience
Proven experience in masonry work with a strong understanding of construction principles.
Familiarity with hardscape installation techniques and materials.
Experience in heavy equipment operation is beneficial but not required.
Previous experience working on construction sites is essential for understanding workflow dynamics.
