Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in bricklaying and masonry, with a strong understanding of construction techniques and materials. The Brick Mason will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, block, and other materials. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry units according to specifications and blueprints. Mix mortar and other materials as needed for construction tasks. Cut and shape bricks using hand tools and power tools to fit specific designs. Ensure structures are level, plumb, and square by using measuring instruments such as levels and plumb lines. Perform repairs on existing brickwork, including repointing and replacing damaged bricks. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and roofers, to complete projects efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines. Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced workers when necessary.

Qualifications

Proven experience in bricklaying and masonry techniques is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade. Knowledge of carpentry and roofing practices is advantageous. Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks for extended periods. Pay: 220.00-250.00 per day
