Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, block, and other materials, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Duties

Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry units according to specifications and plans. Mix mortar and other materials as required for construction tasks. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and finish masonry materials. Perform repairs on existing structures, including repointing and patching. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and roofers to ensure project completion. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations. Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met.

Qualifications

Proven experience in bricklaying and masonry work is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools (trowels, chisels) and power tools (saws, drills) related to masonry tasks. Knowledge of carpentry techniques is advantageous. Familiarity with roofing practices is a plus. Basic welding skills would be beneficial for certain projects. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship. Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
