Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Bricklayer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for laying bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials to construct, repair, and restore structures. Responsibilities

Measure, cut, and lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to specifications and blueprints Mix mortar and apply it accurately to ensure strong bonds between materials Use hand tools such as trowels, chisels, levels, and hammers to perform masonry tasks Operate power tools safely for cutting and shaping bricks or stones Assist with the installation of structural elements including lintels, arches, and facades Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters, roofers, welders, and general labourers to complete projects efficiently Maintain a clean and organised worksite to ensure safety standards are met Follow health and safety regulations at all times during construction activities

Skills

Proficiency in bricklaying techniques and masonry principles Experience with hand tools essential for precise brickwork Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively in a construction environment Knowledge of carpentry, roofing, and welding is advantageous for versatile project involvement Strong understanding of blueprint reading and measurement skills Good physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions Excellent attention to detail ensuring high-quality finishes Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and site managers
