We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring brickwork structures with precision and craftsmanship. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial buildings, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet safety and aesthetic standards.
Duties
Lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to detailed plans and specifications
Mix mortar and prepare materials required for masonry work
Operate hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels to achieve accurate results
Use power tools including drills and saws to cut and shape materials
Assist with the installation of structural elements like lintels and arches
Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, and welders on integrated construction tasks
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes
Maintain a clean and organised worksite, disposing of waste materials appropriately
Skills
Proficiency in bricklaying techniques and masonry principles
Experience with hand tools and power tools used in masonry work
Knowledge of carpentry, roofing, and welding is advantageous for versatile project involvement
Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship skills
Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials safely
Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
