Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring brickwork structures, ensuring high standards of safety and quality. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial buildings,

our projects are mainly extensions loft conversions

Domestic and commercial projects

transport tools are essential tho a van can be provided for the right candidate

Duties



Lay bricks, blocks, and stones using hand tools such as trowels, hammers, and chisels to create walls, facades, and other structures. Prepare surfaces and foundations for brickwork by cleaning, levelling, and setting out work areas accurately. Mix mortar or concrete with appropriate tools to achieve the desired consistency for different projects. Use power tools including drills and saws to cut bricks or stones to precise measurements. Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, welders, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of masonry within larger construction projects. Repair or restore existing brickwork by replacing damaged bricks or re-pointing mortar joints. Follow safety protocols at all times, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean and organised worksite by disposing of waste materials responsibly.

Qualifications



Proven experience in bricklaying or masonry work is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels. Familiarity with power tools relevant to masonry tasks. Knowledge of bricklaying techniques and masonry principles. Additional skills in carpentry, roofing, or welding are advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately. Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills. Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour over extended periods. Relevant certifications or apprenticeships in masonry or construction trades are preferred. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 18.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
