Bricklayer
Job Description
MJM Industrial are seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team. As a Bricklayer, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring brick structures using various tools and techniques.
The duration is 2-3 weeks.
Duties:
- Laying 140mm dense blocks.
- Lay bricks to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures
- Cut or saw bricks to fit around windows, doors, and other openings
- Mix mortar and spread it onto bricks with trowels
- Use levels and plumb bobs to ensure structures are straight and true
- Repair or replace broken bricks
- Work with various materials such as concrete blocks, stone, and tiles
- Follow safety procedures to prevent accidents on the job site
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Bricklayer
- Proficient in masonry techniques including bricklaying and blocklaying
- Familiarity with hand tools such as trowels, hammers, and chisels
- Ability to operate power tools like saws and grinders
- Experience working as a carpenter is advantageous
