Overview

We are seeking skilled bricklayers for work on our current project. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in masonry techniques and have experience in bricklaying. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work with various materials, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. You will be working closely with other trades on site and should be capable of laying an acceptable industry standard amount of bricks/blocks per day.

Duties

Lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry materials according to specifications and blueprints. Measure and cut materials accurately using hand tools and power tools. Mix mortar and other bonding agents to ensure proper adhesion of bricks. Construct walls, arches, and other structures while ensuring they are level and aligned. Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople on construction projects. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in masonry or bricklaying is essential. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in masonry work. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings a bonus but not essential. Strong understanding of construction safety practices. Physical stamina to perform manual labour for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials. Experience working on roofs is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: 180.00-250.00 per day
