Overview

We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with the ability to work effectively with both hand and power tools. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with other tradespeople on various construction projects.

Responsibilities

Lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry materials according to specifications and design plans. Ensure the structural integrity of walls, arches, and other constructions by following proper techniques and safety protocols. Use hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels, as well as power tools for cutting and shaping materials. Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of masonry work into overall construction projects. Perform repairs on existing brickwork and masonry structures as needed. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced workers when required.

Experience

Proven experience in masonry or bricklaying is essential. Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus but not mandatory. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to masonry work. Previous experience working alongside carpenters or on roofing projects would be advantageous. Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
