Responsibilities

Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry units according to specifications and plans. Measure and cut materials accurately to ensure proper fit and alignment. Mix mortar and other bonding agents to secure masonry units in place. Construct walls, arches, and other structures while ensuring structural integrity. Repair or replace damaged brickwork as needed. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, to complete projects efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Skills

Proficiency in bricklaying techniques with a strong understanding of masonry principles. Experience using power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade. Ability to weld when required for specific projects. Knowledge of roofing techniques may be beneficial for certain jobs. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks over extended periods. CSCS card Utr number

Pay: 25,000.00-50,000.00 per year
