Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Brick Layer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with the ability to work on various construction projects, including residential and commercial buildings. The Brick Mason will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, floors, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry materials according to specifications. Construct walls, arches, and other structures using appropriate techniques. Measure and cut materials to ensure precise fitting. Use power tools and hand tools effectively to complete tasks. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and welders, to ensure project success. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols. Inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance with building codes. Repair or replace damaged masonry structures as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience in bricklaying and masonry work. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 25 kg). Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Previous experience working on roofs is advantageous but not mandatory. A valid driver's licence is preferred for transportation to various job sites.
