Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated bricklayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and bricklaying, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role involves constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, stone, and other masonry materials. The Bricklayer will work closely with other construction professionals to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to specifications and plans. Measure and cut materials accurately using hand tools and power tools. Mix mortar and other bonding agents as required for various projects. Construct walls, arches, and other structures while ensuring structural integrity. Repair existing masonry structures by replacing damaged bricks or stones. Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, and other tradespeople on-site. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience in bricklaying or masonry is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 25 kg). Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. A valid driver's licence may be required for travel between job sites.
