We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and talented
Brickwork Lecturer
to join our friendly and professional
Construction
department.
In this exciting role you will have responsibility for delivering teaching and learning to our
Brickwork
students across
levels 1 - 2.
Working closely with the Director of Learning, Programme Manager and the rest of the Construction team, you will have the chance to share your Brickwork industry knowledge and skills with learners to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College. You will act as a personal tutor for Level 1&2 students, promote attendance, participate in team meetings, prepare lesson plans/Schemes of Work and contribute to the overall planning, development and review activities within your subject area. You will also act as a course leader, complete quality assurance processes and assess students work.
The successful candidate must have:
A teaching qualification or experience of training (but we will consider candidates who are willing to work towards a formal teaching qualification)
A Level 3 Trowel Occupations qualification
Experience of delivering and assessing Brickwork (ideally within an FE environment)
Experience of Quality assurance in provision
Relevant industry experience
Experience of working with Brickwork and Groundwork apprentices is an advantage, but not essential.
