Summary and purpose of position:



To support operatives ensuring the receipt and preparation of items for the HPC build, quality checking items before dispatching to ensure safe and compliant storage and carriage to site. We have several positions across the Bridgwater operation based within our J24 Asset Warehouse team, MLC Warehouse and a project team currently focusing on the integration of stock between systems; Turnkey.

The opportunity will playing a crucial role in being a part of our EDF contract, which supports the warehousing solutions for the HPC Nuclear Build (Hinkley Point C) in Bridgwater. The first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.

Duties and responsibilities:



Lead a team of Multitask Operatives effectively, to deliver daily warehouse operations, including Inbound/Outbound activity, Inventory Management and order fulfilment


Distribute workload between the Operatives for effective output


Be an active presence in the warehouse and lead my example with a safety-first approach


Support Multitask Operatives with their duties and responsibilities where required


Performance management of the team; End of Year, Mid-Year reviews, Return to Works,


Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve issues as the arise.


Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency, productivity and safety


Take an active role in H&S, continuously reviewing SSOW and SOPs to ensure they are up to date and accurate.

Experience, Skills, and Attributes:



Basic MS skills


Previous warehouse experience is desirable


Ability to motivate and mange a team of Multitask Operative's, fostering a safe work environment and maximising productivity


Willingness to undertake training to cover various safety roles (i.e. Fire Marshall, Incident Controller)


Superb communicator, target driven and highly motivated


MHE experience desirable


Driving license desirable


CITB Operatives or equivalent
