Bristol Bears Women's Rugby is part of Stephen Lansdown's sporting group of companies which includes Bristol Sport, Bristol City Football, Bristol Flyers Basketball and each of their respective community charities.
Our ambition is 'to inspire our community through rugby success'. Our women's team supporters regularly attend Shaftesbury Park and Ashton Gate Stadium to watch the team perform in Premiership Women's Rugby and Cup Competitions, the highest level of domestic competition.
ROLE SUMMARY
To assist in the planning and the delivery of Bristol Bears Women catering operations whilst working in a safe and affective environment using fresh food to a high-performance standard. To ensure the kitchen is well kept and left in a clean and tidy state as per the set cleaning structure and standards of practise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To prepare, cook and deliver all planned menus as per the requirements of Bristol Bears Women's team in consultation with the Executive Chef.
To take responsibility and deliver meals unassisted as per the instructions of the Executive Chef.
To maintain high standards of preparation and delivery of fresh food whilst working under pressure.
To ensure the cleaning schedules and practices are carried out to the required standard during and clean down all catering areas as per the kitchens cleaning rota and set criteria at the end of shift.
To ensure the security of Bristol Bear's high-performance centre to lock and secure the building as required.
To adhere to our five-star Environmental Health criteria.
To comply with the Food Standards Agency and Health and Safety regulations such as HACCP, COSHH and safe working practices in accordance with current legislation and as detailed in the Company's Health and Safety Policy and Procedures.
To help ensure the completion of the kitchen EHO diary/additional documentation.
To contribute positively to the Bears vision and culture.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Level 2 or above Food Hygiene Certificate.
At least 2 years practical experience in a professional kitchen.
Certification such as NVQs, SVQs, City & Guilds diplomas, or a BTEC in Professional Cookery.
A flair and enthusiasm for cooking with fresh quality ingredients in an elite sports environment.
Ability to cope under pressure, in a calm and efficient manner.
Ability to work alone as well as in a team.
Good interpersonal skills.
Flexible approach to working arrangements.
Ability to deliver to a high standard of professionalism.

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 3.00pm - 8.00pm, including some Bank Holidays.

: 10,920 per annum (pro-rata)
