About Us:
Wyzcom Ltd was established over thirty years ago. We began our journey as a satellite broadcast equipment company and over the years have expanded into all areas of broadcasting. We supply broadcast equipment as well as providing facilities from our hub and from our range of outside broadcast vehicles. We are based on the outskirts of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Key Responsibilities-
Weekly Broadcast Site Maintenance:
Perform fixed and motorized satellite antenna alignment checks.
Conduct LNB tests and replacements.
Verify motorized antenna controller positions and programming.
Set up and test broadcast receivers.
Perform RF signal level testing.
Inspect RF and control cables.
Conduct general fault finding.
Check RF router levels and generate weekly signal reports.
Satellite Uplink Vehicle Operation:
Align satellite antenna.
Connect video and audio inputs.
Operate vision and audio mixers.
Set up broadcast encoders, modulators, and high-power amplifiers.
Set up broadcast receivers.
Liaise with satellite operations centres.
Manage satellite and GSM talkback systems.
Operate generators and handle electrical connections and power distribution.
Perform monthly equipment servicing and maintenance.
Outside Broadcast Trailer Operation:
Connect video and audio inputs.
Operate vision and audio mixers.
Create graphics and overlays.
Manage talkback systems.
Handle electrical connections and power distribution.
Perform monthly equipment servicing and maintenance.
Broadcast Studio Operation (Vision, Audio & Radio Studios):
Connect video and/or audio inputs.
Operate vision and/or audio mixers.
Set up cameras and lenses.
Configure studio lighting.
Create graphics and overlays, including Chromakey.
Manage talkback systems.
Set up streaming encoders and decoders.
Handle electrical connections and power distribution.
Perform monthly equipment servicing and maintenance.
Online Sports Broadcasting:
Set up streaming encoders and decoders.
Set up vision and audio mixers.
Set up commentary positions.
Create graphics and overlays.
Monitoring multiple incoming and outgoing feeds.
Update social media and streaming platforms.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven experience as a Broadcast Technician or in a similar role.
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
Full driving license for vehicles >3500KG and ideally a vehicle/trailer >7000KG.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience with Working at Heights an advantage however training may be provided.
Strict time keeping.
Availability for weekends, long working days and urgent call outs.
Ability to update the company's social media and websites.
Ability to travel locally, nationally and internationally on a regular basis.
