The Role
The 12-month Broadcast Support Graduate Placement will provide support to the various broadcast facilities operated by NEP Connect and its clients.
Responsibilities
Assist with providing 2nd line support to broadcast equipment within studios, apparatus rooms, and galleries, for example: production switchers, broadcast cameras, AV routers, audio mixers, modular infrastructure "glue".
Assist with providing 2nd line support to our Net Insight Nimbra AnyLive network and associated equipment.
Assist with supporting and maintaining various IP networks using the following hardware: Cisco, Arista and FS.
Assist with supporting our satellite dish farm with reactive fault finding and preventative maintenance.

To keep the Broadcast Support Manager/Production/NOC appraised of the status of any issues, as appropriate.
To log faults and irregularities.
To assist with in-house project, decommission and installation work.
Performance of preventative maintenance as necessary.
Oversee external contractors e.g. UPS maintenance teams, wiremen etc.
Ensure system documentation is up to date.
Maintain good working knowledge of industry best practice.
Stay up to date with developments in the relevant technical fields.
Preferrable Skills / Qualifications
Good understanding of communication systems including mobile and fixed links (terrestrial and satellite)
Broadcast and production technology knowledge
Understanding of IP technologies
Knowledge and experience on component and board level fault finding
CAD skills
