We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Asia Pacific team within Reinsurance as a Broking Support and Technical Handler. This exciting role is based in Ipswich and involves collaboration with our London and regional offices across Asia, as well as our clients in the Asia Pacific regions.

How you'll make an impact

Broking Support:

Prepare presentations for clients and markets, assisting those in the field with providing renewal information, statistics, and technical advice. Resolve queries from clients and reinsurers efficiently, escalating when necessary to ensure timely resolution. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, third parties, and reinsurers, working closely with the Client Service Manager and/or Operations Director.

Technical Handler:

Analyse technical treaty documentation to ensure compliance with contractual conditions, assisting clients with document preparation and query resolution. Process and monitor figures in the broking platform, adhering to key performance indicators and contractual conditions. Ensure timely chasing of accounts due from clients and support financial handling of client monies. Perform Second Pair of Eyes (SPOE) checks and ensure compliance with Gallagher Excellence Model steps.

About You

Educated to A level standard or possess relevant industry experience. Experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry with facultative placements. Familiarity with broking platforms and system functionality (desirable). Intermediate IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office. Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and work both independently and as part of a team. Strong relationship-building skills with brokers, clients, and markets. Good time management skills to meet timeframes and prioritise multiple responsibilities. Willingness to travel to London as the need arises. Eligibility to work in the UK.
