About the Role



As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will:

Ensure the

quality, consistency, and presentation

of dishes throughout all stages of production Take responsibility for the

day-to-day operation of the kitchen

, maintaining optimal stock levels and managing orders effectively Actively participate in our

HACCP procedures

and uphold our Food Safety Management standards

Lead by example

, setting professional standards and sharing your knowledge with the team Oversee kitchen service during busy periods Support the business with

financial awareness

, including recipe costing and achieving GP targets

Responsibilities



Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to food safety regulations Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation Manage inventory, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen resources Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service during service hours Develop new menu items in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences Uphold health and safety standards across all aspects of food production and service

Qualifications



Proven experience in a professional kitchen setting, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality environment Supervising experience is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production Excellent cooking skills with a comprehensive understanding of culinary techniques Leadership qualities with the ability to manage a team effectively Experience in food preparation, restaurant operations, and serving customers Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Good organisational skills with attention to detail Previous experience in hospitality or catering roles is advantageous

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour
