We are seeking a dedicated

BSL Teaching Assistant

to join a vibrant and welcoming

primary school in Greenwich

, working within their specialist deaf provision. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the learning and communication needs of deaf pupils, helping them thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

Support deaf pupils in class and during small group or 1:1 sessions using BSL. Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and Speech and Language Therapists. Adapt resources and activities to suit individual learning needs. Encourage independence and confidence in communication and learning. Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment.

Essential Requirements:

BSL Level 3 qualification

(or higher). Experience supporting deaf or hearing-impaired children, ideally in a school setting. A strong understanding of deaf culture and communication needs. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: 85.00-100.00 per day

BSL Teaching Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
