British Sign Language (BSL) trained female Support Worker
to assist a service user with
personal care, meal preparation, and community access
. You will play a vital role in promoting independence, well-being, and quality of life.
This position involves
regular morning and evening visits
, as well as
Friday community access support
.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide dignified and respectful
personal care
routines (morning and evening)
Prepare meals in line with dietary preferences
Assist the service user to be ready for transport to Day Services (on specified days)
Support the service user with
accessing the community
(Fridays)
Communicate effectively using
British Sign Language (BSL)
Ensure a safe and clean environment at all times
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Follow care plans and risk assessments as required
Requirements:
Female staff only
(due to the personal care needs of the client)
BSL trained / fluent in British Sign Language
- essential
Experience in personal care and working in a home or community care setting
Reliable, empathetic, and respectful with excellent communication skills
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Ability to work independently and follow routines
Desirable:
Previous experience supporting individuals with communication needs
Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety best practices
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 13.00-14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 22.5 per week
