As a BTR Account Manager, you will report directly to the BTR Account Director and be responsible for managing a portfolio of Build-to-Rent (BTR) accounts within the agency. You will also manage the work of the BTR Account Executives within your team where applicable.
Your role will be instrumental in nurturing and strengthening our client relationships. As a key point of contact, you will act with agility to address client inquiries, resolve challenges, and foster open lines of communication. By attending client meetings and providing timely responses, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining client satisfaction and trust.
Furthermore, your proactive approach will extend to identifying opportunities for additional collaboration with assigned clients. You will explore avenues to expand client accounts, leveraging your keen business acumen and industry insights to drive growth.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare groundwork, research, and evaluate options and costs for new clients, investors, and projects. Collaborate with the BTR Account Director to determine project timelines, budget, and key dates.
Support the BTR Account Director with lease-up or retention strategies, utilising both online and offline materials available to BTR clients.
Conduct research to understand marketing requirements for BTR developments or portfolios.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Marketing Managers, Asset Managers, Portfolio Managers, and colleagues to communicate clients' needs and deliver successful briefs.
Write creative briefs by discussing clients' needs with the client and BTR Account Director and provide written briefs with resources if required.
Brief jobs into the studio throughout each project stage, ensuring proper management and processing.
Manage daily jobs in the studio alongside your BTR Account Executive.
Lead project management activities, ensuring adherence to plans and meeting deadlines.
Manage and update Asana accurately and other project platforms as required, sharing weekly status reports and highlighting urgent client points.
Maintain strong client relationships through high-quality work, regular face-to-face meetings, and client entertaining across the country.
Work with the BTR Account Director to maximise profit margins.
Conduct research and suggest new ideas/possibilities for clients to achieve lease-up/retention targets.
Monitor clients' budgets, updating GP billing plans and GP board, and work with the BTR Account Director to maximise budgets and profit margins.
Collaborate with the Managing Director and BTR Account Director on creative pitches to win new clients.
Provide digital recommendations, conduct research, or collaborate with specialist teams to offer the latest initiatives and pass strategic briefs to relevant teams.
Devise integrated strategies with Media or Social Media teams to support client targets and deliver results.
Make space recommendations (signage, hoarding, show home dressing, amenity space usage) and work with the Spaces team to deliver relevant proposals.
Manage signage or hoarding tasks directly with suppliers and participate in dressing or amenity projects with the Spaces design and account management teams to ensure client satisfaction.
Utilise Homeviews and other sector tools/platforms to gain insights into competitors and BTR audience segments.
Work may involve regular unsocial hours including early starts and late finishes to meet deadlines. Long hours and time spent in meetings or entertaining is the norm along with travel as part of a BTR Account Manager role.
Person Specification:
Qualifications
A Degree in Marketing, Business or any other relevant degree which includes a marketing element is desirable, although not essential
Professional certifications in project management, marketing, or a related area are advantageous.
Experience
Demonstrable track record in account management, preferably in the Build-to-Rent sector.
Prior experience in a Marketing Agency is essential/highly desirable.
Proven track record of managing client relationships and delivering successful projects.
Experience in project management and coordinating cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in managing a diverse portfolio of accounts and engaging with various stakeholders.
Documented success in team management.
Knowledge and Skills
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
