Overview

We are seeking a skilled Builder to join our care home temporarily.

The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of construction skills and experience, enabling them to contribute effectively to various projects. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople. As a Builder, you will play a crucial role in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial properties.

Responsibilities

Carry out fabrication and assembly tasks as directed by project specifications. Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various construction activities. Perform carpentry and joinery work, ensuring high-quality finishes in all projects. Engage in roofing tasks, including installation and repairs, while adhering to safety standards. Conduct heavy lifting as required for materials and equipment during construction activities. Execute construction painting duties to enhance the aesthetic appeal of completed structures. Assist with plumbing installations and repairs as needed on-site. Undertake masonry work, including bricklaying and stonework, ensuring structural integrity. Provide electrical support where applicable, demonstrating knowledge of basic electrical systems.

Experience

Proven experience , assembly, carpentry, joinery, roofing, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools and power tools effectively is essential. Experience in heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks within a construction environment is required. A strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry is necessary. Previous experience working on residential or commercial building projects will be advantageous.
