Overview

We are seeking a skilled Builder with their own van to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction and building management, with the ability to supervise projects from inception to completion and still be very much on the tools. This role requires a hands-on approach and excellent leadership skills to ensure that all building activities are executed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Supervise a team of tradespeople and subcontractors, providing guidance and support as needed. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project specifications are met. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of project activities, including schedules, budgets, and materials used. Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process promptly. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant building codes and regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in building or construction is essential. Strong supervisory and skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the construction industry. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. A valid driver's licence may be required for site visits.
