Key Attributes and Skills

Providing advice and supporting clients in fulfilling their duties under the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations
Reviewing plans and designs to ensure compliance for Building Regulation approval
Attending client and design team meetings to offer technical guidance
Liaising with clients, contractors, developers, and other stakeholder
Ensuring project designs meet current legislation and regulatory standards
Maintaining high technical and commercial standards across all deliverables
Identifying and escalating new business opportunities
Building and growing a network of industry contacts
Collaborating with internal teams and external partners across multidisciplinary projects
Ideally, you will be degree-qualified with relevant experience within the construction industry, such as architecture, building control, building surveying, or a similar discipline. A full driving licence and access to your own transport are essential, as some travel will be required.
What we are looking for:
Strong understanding of the design and construction process
Proven experience inspecting buildings and assessing compliance
In-depth knowledge of Building Regulations, codes, and associated legislation
Excellent client-facing and communication skills (written and verbal)
Membership of RICS, CIAT, CABE, CIOB or a similar professional body
An up-to-date record of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Proficiency in SharePoint and other project management tools
Ability to produce technical documentation such as End of Design Stage Reports and Building Regulations Trackers
